Physical Education
Overview
Design your own fitness journey. This Physical Education class focuses on your personal goals — whether that's building strength, improving cardio, or developing a lifelong fitness habit.
You'll train daily using free weights, machines, cardio equipment, a functional training room, the pool, and the gymnasium. The program also covers nutrition, mental health, and fitness concepts to support your overall wellness.
Classes are held in partnership with the Don Wheaton YMCA and Edmonton's river valley trail system. YMCA membership is available to Centre High students at a reduced rate (~$105/semester), giving you access during class and anytime the facility is open. Physical Education instructors and Personal Trainers help you design a workout program tailored to your goals.
