Course Description:

Gain a true insight into the careers that work with children and people with special needs with a variety of guest speakers. Try out experiences working with children in workplace settings through the volunteer component. You will gain knowledge of a range of special needs and the challenges faced supporting people in the community. You will grow foundational skills related to contributing to teams building on and expanding your own interpersonal skills. Learn how to support and implement activities that enrich the experience of people with diverse needs. You will also plan for your post-secondary and career journey.
